Hi Frank,

I am here for the social media resources (people). I have found a few good ones too. My clients; mostly PR and media relations - business development and marketing need to implement Social Media tools into their businesses.

I have many friends and business associates that don't know about, nor have implemented these tools into their business. These are high six - seven figure earners, as well as companies with 8-9 figure revenues that are still doing things old school...it really amazes me, being pretty new at this myself - about 6-months.

Must be the generation gap; I am 42 and most of my friends and associates have me by 10-20 years. I have met some great young talent though, driving this social media revolution. Wow, how things have changed and are changing so quickly. I am obviously not an ad devil, but do you have any comments, suggestions or insight to the above?

Best,

Mark

Hi Frank! I run a Dubai-based communications & marketing consultancy. We develop and run integrated campaigns for local and international clients. Our heritage is in working with the tech sector (IBM, Intel, Cisco, Microsoft), so we've been integrating online elements into client communications campaigns for more than 10 years. These days our client base also includes retail, entertainment, environment and healthcare.

That is a pretty good argument Frank...it is moving fast and furious and there are some very profound transitions are taking place in the world...social media will be a big part of that transition and individuals will participate in shaping the future largely due to social media.

I look forward to sharpening my awareness and skills; thanks for your input and I will be following up with you soon. Have a good one!

Blog about you -

This looks like it could evolve to be a good forum for persons of shared interest - but it is hard to network when you have no idea who someone is - may I suggest that each person provide a single blog entry that gives an idea of why your here and what you do?

Thanks!

Frank
